HOW WE MET

This could essentially be a book, but will try to make it short and sweet!

Todd and I met at Diego’s Bar in Pacific Beach, San Diego in 1988.  We dated for a few years before breaking up. Three years later, I got a call out of the blue at my job and it was that distinctive Todd Jarrett voice!  We started dating again and before you know it ended up with our oldest son Tyler.  Moved to Orange County in 1993, got married on June 17, 1995 in Las Vegas and gave birth to our daughter Olivia in October 1995.  Bought our first home together and had our final surprise with the birth of our youngest son Jackson in June of 1997! 

Sadly, we divorced in 2002… for seven looooong years….

Fast forward to June 2010. I got a text from him asking if we could have lunch in a couple days.  I ignored it.  He texted me again in the morning asking the same question and I “reluctantly” agreed.  We met for lunch on June 8, 2010 and after a few minutes of small talk he said he needed to ask me something.  I was thinking the worst as I prepared myself for what he was about to ask…

“What do you think about getting the band back together!?”   I looked around and said “Am I being punked?”  Of course I started crying and said I’d have to think about it (even though I knew 1000% I wanted to have our family back together!).  One month later we told the kids and that was truly one of the best days for our entire family.  Lots of happy tears!

THE PROPOSAL

So moving forward eleven years to August 2021.  We were in Mammoth with all the kids, his sister Stephanie, her daughter Lauren and her hubby Chris and their toddler Ollie, along with his dad Bob and step-mom Woodie.  We had them over to our rental house for dinner and while cleaning up the dishes, he made me go sit on the couch “because you’ve been on your feet all day”... I sit down and he proceeds to start talking to everyone about us, ultimately getting down on one knee and proposing!  

Needless to say, our love story has been one hell of a rollercoaster ride! We are so excited to finally have a real wedding and we truly hope you can make it to Cabo and celebrate with us.
